Two products you cannot live without if you have a newborn;
This one, Desitin creamy
and Aveeno non-scented lotion!
Combining these to combat irritated skin and diaper rash is a big way to make your life easier. I personally buy them together and save a few bucks (Desitin Creamy Diaper Rash Ointment - 4 oz. + FREE Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion Fragrance Free - 8 oz.) but to each their own. The Desitin is great treatment for baby's bottoms in even the most extreme cases. The zinc oxide makes it very thick so be sure to only take as much as you need- it does not absorb as quickly as a lot of other items.
I tend to wipe the aveeno on afterwards to kind of seal it in. Since it's a thinner lotion is absorbs quickly on it's own. I see immediate improvement when I use them and the entire rash is normally cleared up within 48 hours at the most. Happy baby = happy parent!

I got a fungus infection under my arm due to cancer treatments and deodorants made it worse. I got a prescription powder but my doctor also said Desitin would help because of the Zinc. The infection is gone and I use Desitin as a deodorant. It is wonderful. No more wet underarms and no odor!! It truly keeps you dry.

I like Desitin. Am I supposed to comment on the product or the seller? the product is consistent with what I'd expect Desitin to be. Definitely cut the rash time a whole lot shorter, allowing for healing as it protected from fresh moistness. Are there some medicinal powers to this too? Possibly, but I think the think creamy consistency is what helps it work .
I also loved the tube as it didn't necessitate dipping my finger in the heavy cream.
